Our SD3 Security Doors are designed to protect medium-risk residential or commercial properties from attempts at forced entry, using heavy hand tools.
Door Leaf and Door Frame
The door leaf is robust at 55mm thickness, crafted from 2mm corrosion resistant Zintec/Aluzinc sheets, offering various custom finishes. It’s filled with mineral wool and integral steel stiffeners for strength. The blade comprises two 2mm sheets bonded to form 4mm steel armour around a sturdy core, featuring a flush anti-jemmy astragal. The frame, made from folded and welded 2mm Zintec/Aluzinc, includes a welded, variable sub-frame for site tolerance (-0/+30mm) and an Anti-Crush plate. It boasts four Class 13 stainless steel dog bolt hinges, recessed and modified to prevent pin extraction. Two solid ball round dog bolts enhance resistance, and mineral wool infill provides insulation and structural support.
Threshold and Finishes
The threshold options include a standard 15mm rebated threshold and an optional 12.5mm 564A Aluminium threshold that complies with DDA regulations. When it comes to finishes, you can choose from the standard option of Polyester Powder coating, which offers a range of colours from the Standard Colour Range. Alternatively, there is the option for Polyester Powder Coating from a non-standard colour range to suit unique preferences. For those who prefer on-site finishing, an unfinished option is also available, allowing you to tailor the finish to your specific needs.
Customised Door Solutions
Doors are custom manufactured in 10mm increments, offering single openings ranging from 690mm to 1200mm and double openings from 1290mm to 2500mm, with heights customisable up to 2800mm. Our secure locking mechanism includes a high-security triple-point sashlock from Securefast, equipped with high-security cylinders and an anti-jemmy escutcheon to protect against snapping attacks. The lock is designed to be anti-drill and pattern protected to minimise the risk of key copying, and our doors come fitted with Exidor tower bolts for added security. Alternatively, we offer the option to fit doors with three-point heavy-duty Panic Hardware for fire escape purposes, provided they are also equipped with a Locking Box to prevent Drill Attack. In terms of insulation, with in-fill as specified, our doors can achieve a thermal value of 2.6 w/m2k. Additionally, the same in-fill configuration allows for an acoustic value of 2.3 w/m2k, ensuring both thermal efficiency and sound insulation.

Medium risk residential and commercial properties which may be obscured from view. Protection from a deliberate forced entry of a well-protected property using a wide variety of tools with little regard for noise.
