Advantages of Direct Drive
Wherever possible, we design, manufacture and install direct drive motor roller shutters for businesses, only using chain driven where this is not achievable. With unsprung barrels in all of the doors we supply, our team endeavour to minimise the number of moving parts in a door, to make it more hardwearing and less likely to break down. The advantages of this are then passed onto the customer who can expect a long-lasting door that has minimal wear and tear and is unlikely to result in unnecessary and costly maintenance. This makes direct drive roller shutter doors well suited to environments where regular door opening cycles are necessary many times per day as they can withstand heavier usage than other door models.
Automated
Industrial Door Engineering’s range of direct drive motor roller shutters can be linked up to automated opening and closing systems such as induction loops and wireless control systems, for smoother operation. Automating these doors allows businesses to open and close them at a much faster rate which can help to streamline productivity and boost overall safety as well as reduce heat loss and hopefully reduce heating bills!
